- Percentage change from previous period
- Number of times your form was viewed
- Includes all page loads
- Percentage of views that resulted in completed submissions
- Formula:
(Completed Submissions / Total Views) × 100 - Example: 100 submissions ÷ 500 views = 20% completion rate
- Average time users take to complete your form
- Displayed in minutes and seconds (e.g., “2m 35s”)
- Only counts completed submissions
| Rate | Status | Action Needed |
|---|---|---|
| 0-20% | ❌ Low | Form may be too long or complex |
| 20-40% | ⚠️ Below Average | Review drop-off analysis |
| 40-60% | ✅ Average | Good performance, optimize further |
| 60%+ | 🎯 Excellent | Maintain current approach |

Smart Alerts
Proactive notifications about form performance. Alert Types: ⚠️ No Recent SubmissionsAnalytics Best Practices
Data Collection
Do:- Check analytics weekly
- Compare different time periods
- Export data for records
- Share insights with team
- Act on recommendations
- Ignore drop-off warnings
- Make changes without data
- Check only once
- Ignore device breakdown
- Skip exporting important data
Form Optimization
Do:- Test changes and compare analytics before/after
- Focus on high drop-off questions first
- Optimize for most-used devices
- Use insights to guide improvements
- Monitor completion time trends
- Change multiple things at once
- Ignore user behavior patterns
- Make forms longer without reason
- Forget to test on mobile
- Overlook peak times data
Interpreting Data
Do:- Look for patterns over time
- Consider sample size (need 50+ views for reliable data)
- Compare to industry benchmarks
- Use funnel to identify bottlenecks
- Check correlation with form changes
- React to single-day anomalies
- Compare incomparable periods (holidays vs normal days)
- Ignore context (traffic sources, campaigns)
- Assume correlation = causation
- Make decisions on tiny sample sizes
Understanding Metrics
Completion Rate
What It Means: Percentage of people who view your form and submit it. Industry Benchmarks:- Simple forms (1-5 questions): 60-80%
- Medium forms (6-10 questions): 40-60%
- Long forms (11+ questions): 20-40%
- Very long forms (20+ questions): 10-20%
- Form length (longer = lower rate)
- Question clarity (unclear = abandonments)
- Required fields (more required = more drop-offs)
- Mobile optimization (poor mobile UX = lower rate)
- Loading speed (slow = abandonments)
- Trust indicators (no privacy info = concerns)
Average Completion Time
Benchmarks:- Short forms: 30-90 seconds
- Medium forms: 2-5 minutes
- Long forms: 5-10 minutes
- Complex forms: 10-20 minutes
- < 10 seconds = Likely spam or fake submissions
- Very short time = Users may not be reading carefully
-
15 minutes = Form too complex or confusing
- High time + high abandonment = Major issues
- Users can complete comfortably without rushing
- Enough time to read and think
- Not so long they get frustrated
Troubleshooting
”No data available yet”
Problem: Analytics dashboard is empty Solution:- Share your form to get views
- Ensure form is published (not draft)
- Wait for first submissions
- Analytics need at least 1 view to display
”Analytics is a Pro feature”
Problem: Feature gate blocking access Solution:- Upgrade to Pro plan
- Go to Workspace Settings → Subscription
- Click “Upgrade to Pro”
- Analytics unlocks immediately after upgrade
Charts not loading
Problem: Charts show empty or loading state Solution:- Refresh page (Ctrl+R / Cmd+R)
- Clear browser cache
- Check internet connection
- Try different browser
- Contact support if persists
Export not working
Problem: Export button doesn’t download file Solution:- Check browser pop-up blocker
- Allow downloads from site
- Try different export format
- Ensure you have active subscription
- Check browser console for errors
Wrong completion rate
Problem: Completion rate seems incorrect Explanation:- Rate = Completed submissions ÷ Total views
- Views include all page loads (even refreshes)
- Abandoned submissions NOT counted as completed
- In-progress submissions NOT counted as completed
- Only fully completed submissions count
Analytics Limitations
What Analytics Can Track: ✅ Submission counts ✅ View counts ✅ Completion rates ✅ Time to complete ✅ Device types ✅ Submission timestamps ✅ Drop-off points ✅ Status breakdown What Analytics Cannot Track: ❌ Individual user identities (privacy) ❌ Partial answers before abandonment ❌ Mouse movements or heatmaps ❌ External traffic sources (use UTM parameters) ❌ Email open rates for notifications ❌ Social media shares ❌ Browser types (only device type) ❌ Precise geolocation (only general location)Data Privacy
Privacy Compliance:- Analytics data is aggregated
- No personally identifiable information in charts
- Submissions stored securely
- GDPR and privacy law compliant
- Users can request data deletion
- Analytics data: Indefinite (while subscribed)
- Detailed submissions: As per form settings
- Exported data: Stored by you
Next Steps
- Submissions Management - View individual responses
- Form Settings - Configure notifications and security
- Integrations - Connect analytics to external tools
- Workspaces - Team collaboration
